"IDPA is the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios using practical handguns and holsters that are suitable for self-defense use. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual."



Here are some items you should bring to an IDPA match.

  • Semi-Automatic Pistol OR Revolver
  • Concealment Holster Suitable for all-day wear (Inside or Outside Waistband, strong side only)
  • 3 to 5 magazines or speedloaders / moon-clips
  • Magazine Pouches (or just use your pockets)
  • Concealment Garment (a jacket, vest, or shirt which hides your firearm and magazines from view when you hold your arms out to your sides and parallel to the ground)
  • Sunscreen 
  • Bug Spray 
  • Drinking Water or refreshments
