Important - Outdoor
Range Rules
- Upper & Lower ranges are
for RIFLE AND PISTOL use only. Shotguns are only allowed in
the Pistol Pit area.

The gate is to remain locked at all times except for
organized competition. This is to discourage trespassers.
You are responsible for the security of the range.
DO NOT GIVE THE
RANGE LOCK COMBINATION TO ANYONE.
- Outdoor range hours are from 8 AM to Dusk except for
preapproved, scheduled competitions.

There will be no loaded firearms on the range nor
will the handling of firearms be allowed while people are down
range. (SLIDES BACK. CYLINDERS OPEN, GUNS ON THE TABLE, MAKE
THEM SAFE!) Loaded firearms are allowed only on the firing line. -
THINK SAFETY AT ALL TIMES!!

There will be no open shooting during any scheduled
competition. There is no shooting allowed from our property in
any direction other than from a firing line to downrange. Do
not fire a gun into the air.

Members are responsible for maintenance and upkeep
of the range. Do not leave trash or targets on the range.
If you are not sure you should shoot at something then don’t until
you ask. Damage to targets and stands is expensive. If
caught YOU will be charged for the damage and will lose your club
privileges and/or membership.

Members are responsible for reporting any observed
rule infractions by others. Report names and license numbers
to any of the club officers whose phone numbers are printed monthly
in the newsletter.
- No ATV’s are allowed on the range except as authorized for
specific use or event.

When a workday is scheduled or a crew is maintaining
the range, there is no shooting allowed. Please feel free to help
them, as they are all volunteers.
- All persons using both ranges must wear protective ear and
eyewear.

Only members will be allowed on the range
except for
scheduled club events, which allow for competitors or guests. −
NO
EXCEPTIONS! This range is private property. All others
will be considered TRESPASSERS and are subject to arrest.
Membership includes spouse and children only. Children are the
responsibility of the adult member.

Out of town guests are allowed only with a temporary
membership. This can be obtained from any club director or
purchased at The Sportsman's Loft (852-4000).
All out of town
guests must be accompanied by the hosting member
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED ON THE RANGE AT ANY TIME!!

The
Minot Rifle and Pistol Club's indoor range facilities are
located west of Minot on US 2/52.
From Minot, proceed west on US
2/52. Go 1.3 miles west of Behm's Truck Stop/Country Kitchen
Restaurant and turn left (CR-17). Follow the road (CR-17) under the trestle
bridge and bear left at the intersection (62nd St. SW). The indoor range is
on the right hand side at the top of the hill (about 1/2 mile).
It is a grey steel building with green trim.
If you're approaching from the
west, the turn off is about 9 miles east of the junction of US
2 and 52. Turn right towards the trestle bridge and follow the
instructions above. |
